The burrito I ordered came with a gross tortilla and the filling was salty and low quality (the beans were ok) -- taco bell is just as good if not better. They do have good service and have a variety of tasty sauces.

Had not been to Taco Shack in years and surprised that they are still around with competition everywhere in Austin. I was the only car in line, the server took my credit card and held it for over 5 minutes while she worked on salsa to go cups. (I am not comfortable turning my credit card over to a place, where they do not return it with a receipt right away.) The food: I ordered 2 breakfast tacos. The Potato and Egg was ok, but def needed the salsa to give it any flavor. The Bacon, Bean and cheese? The bacon was not good,, It was old, not fresh at all. That is a major concern and turn off.

I got 30 breakfast tacos for my team at work. 15 sausage egg and cheese and 15 bacon egg and cheese. I work 10 minutes away from this taco shack. I called the order in just as I was walking to my car. By the time I got there I only had to wait about two minutes and the 30 tacos were ready, bagged, labeled, napkins, utensils, and enough salsa to cover 40 tacos. From a service stand point I was impressed. The real great part is that the tacos were delicious. I always enjoy bacon egg and cheese, and they were good. But the sausage egg and cheese were awesome! They use ground beef sausage, and crumble it with the eggs and cheese. They were really good. This being my first taco shack experience I'd say this place was well worth the visit. I was pleasantly surprised.

They have gone downhill in a big way! I ate there today, it was the worst. Bill Millers breakfast tacos are much better and cheaper. I will never eat there again. I hadn't eaten there in 8 years. I knew there was a reason I hadn't gone back.

I went to this location earlier today and ordered the 2 beef enchilada plate with onions. I asked for queso to be put on top of my enchiladas instead of the chili con carne sauce. After a 15 minute wait in the drive thru, I received my plate. When I got home to eat, I opened the container and my food was DRENCHED in queso. Rice and beans drenched to the point of becoming runny with queso. As well as a thin layer of grease at the top. I called Daisy, the manager to complain about the idiot who drenched my food in queso, and she was understanding, so I hope this doesn't happen in the future. However, they've lost me as a customer over the sheer ignorance of whomever thought to make my food like that.
